While Brandon Roy’s game winners may have stolen the show in the last two games, LaMarcus Aldridge quietly put together his best two games of the season to lead the Blazers to a pair of close wins. LaMarcus led the team in scoring each of the last two games, while also leading the team with a season high 13 rebounds in Saturday night’s win over Minnesota. LaMarcus finished with 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the win against Houston on Thursday, while recording 24 points, 23 rebounds, and another 3 blocks against Minnesota on Saturday. LaMarcus shot over 50% from the floor in both contests as well.
LaMarcus has taken it upon himself to increase his scoring and rebounding with Greg Oden on the sidelines, and the results speak for themselves. The Blazers play their first game on their 5 game road trip tonight in Orlando, where LaMarcus will try to continue his success against Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, and the rest of the Magic.
